A Glimpse Into Ann Clanton Communications' Legacy

Welcome to Ann Clanton Communications, where we are firm believers in the immense impact of effective communication. Here, we know that great communication can do wonders for brands and make an impression that lasts. Ann Clanton founded us in 2012, and we were formally incorporated in 2017. Our journey began with a remarkable milestone – the NAACP Providence Freedom Fund Awards Gala. Here, we orchestrated a seamless event, securing national speakers such as former White House Communication Director Symone Sanders, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and civil rights icon John Lewis. This marked the inception of our commitment to excellence.

Our portfolio boasts not only large-scale events but also small businesses and non-profits. We’ve had the privilege of directing the marketing communications for gems like Syroya’s Bakery, a black woman-owned bakery in North Providence. Our cooperation with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School, the state’s oldest arts organization, demonstrates our dedication to varied and important initiatives.

Syroya’s Bakery exemplifies our skills by demonstrating how smart communication can change a company into one of Rhode Island’s fastest-growing culinary companies. We approach each client as a unique case study. We develop tailored strategies that drive success and foster growth.

Who is Ann Clanton? She is a Providence native. Ann brings over 25 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, political consulting, and Government Affairs. As a practitioner specializing in media relations, our founder and her team have collaborated with prestigious entities such as Trinity Repertory, the Patriots Football Organization, Paramount Plus, and Disney Studios.

The enthusiasm that she held for journalism made her co-found the Southern New England Association of Black Journalists. It is an affiliate of the National Association of Black Journalists. She has been a contributing author to RhodeIslandNewsToday.com where she managed to interview local and national personalities, including Actor and political candidate Hill Harper, former U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young, and coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Rhode Island in 2021. She is also a member of the Board at Southside Cultural Center Rhode Island.

Ann Clanton Communications is the company you can rely on if you need Media Relations & Marketing, Website Design, Government Affairs, and Grant Writing Services. Let us help you achieve your mission through excellent communication consultancy.
